Where is Glass Skin Studio Located?

Glass Skin Studio is located at 300 Coles St, Suite 212, Jersey City, NJ 07310. The suite is located in My Salon Suites at the bottom of Cast Iron Lofts.

Is parking available?

Street parking is available in front of the suite and in the surrounding areas. There is also a garage that has a small fee.

Is an appointment required?

Yes, an appointment is required. You can book your appointment online at https://glassskinstudio.glossgenius.com/. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early as we may be assisting other clients. When you arrive, you will be able to find Glass Skin Studio on the touchscreen keypad. Press the call button, and you will be let in.

How often should I receive a facial?

We recommend a facial once every 4-6 weeks to start to address your skincare concerns. Once your skincare goals are obtained, you can continue that frequency or taper down to a facial once a season for maintenance.


Should I arrive Makeup free for my appointment?

It is recommended to arrive without makeup; however, we understand it cannot be prevented in all circumstances. We will remove your makeup if needed.

Which facial is recommended for first time guests?

The Goals facial is intended to be the first step in your skincare journey at Glass Skin Studio. This will allow us to appropriately analyze your skin and recommend the best treatments as we progress with your skincare goals. Guests can also book Get Plump, Give Me Oxygen, and Go Away, Peach Fuzz.

Can I receive a facial while pregnant?

Yes! Facials are pregnancy safe. There are certain ingredients and devices that need to be avoided. Pregnant clients cannot receive the Get Plump, Glass Skin (we cannot use the ultrasound, but we can always substitute microdermabrasion or LED for this step), Nanoneedling, or Chemical Peels.

Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker?

No, dermaplaning will not make your hair grow back darker/thicker. Dermaplaning uses a medical grade scalpel that removes vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz, from the surface of the skin. After dermaplaning, the soft, fine vellus hair grows back slowly over the course of 4 weeks.

Do I need to prep the skin for Facials?

Please stop all active topicals, such as retinoids, 3-5 days before receiving a facial. If you are receiving a chemical peel, you must stop all actives 7 days prior to the peel.

Do I need to prep the skin for waxing?

Please stop all active topicals, such as retinoids, 7 days before receiving a brow, chin, or lip wax. Waxing is not recommended for very sensitive skin. If you are receiving a brow tint, please be careful not to wet the brows for 48-hours after receiving your service. This will ensure the tint will last as long as possible.

What is the aftercare for my facial?

After receiving a facial, we recommend avoiding applying makeup or working out on the same day. We also recommend changing your pillowcase in the evening to prevent bacteria from entering the pores. Lastly, it is important to avoid all actives and waxing for 3-5 days following the facial.

Is one chemical peel enough to change my skin?

While you will see a slight difference after one chemical peel, chemical peels are best performed in a series. A series of 3-6 treatments are recommended for optimal results.

I think my skin is having a reaction. What should I do?

At Glass Skin Studio, we use professional and medical grade ingredients. For some people just starting their skincare journey, the skin may be a little more sensitive to the ingredients. We always cater to sensitive skin, but if you believe you are having a reaction, please contact us at 551-554-7637.

Policies

All new clients are required to fill out the New Client Intake form. This intake form is not only for safety reasons, but it helps us to make sure you are going to get the best service at Glass Skin Studio.


A credit card on file is required to reserve your appointment. Your card will never be charged without your consent unless you have infringed upon our Cancellation/No-Show Policy.


If you are running late, please let us know by texting 551-554-7637. This may result in the deduction of time from your service to accommodate our other appointments. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may be rescheduled, and you will be subject to the late cancellation fee of $50

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, Glass Skin Studio requires at least a 24-hour notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made with less than a 24-hour notice will incur a $50 fee. No-call/No-show appointments will incur a fee of 50% of your service cost. We understand things happen, and can be out of your control, so please do your best to let us know in a timely manner as we value our time and hope to accommodate all of our clients fairly and efficiently. Glass Skin Studio has a No-Refund policy. We are confident in our services; however, if you are dissatisfied with your treatment, please contact us within 48 hours of your service.
